Have you Tried Any Of These Ways to Save Money?
Stressed Out
We are all aware of the fact that we have many ways to save money but often we just don’t care about saving. Sometimes we get stressed out for example, or feel sad and down in the dumps. We think that if we go and buy something for ourselves we will feel better. If we don't have any cash we can quickly swipe our credit card through the machine... It’s like a quest for immediate gratification in overdrive! This is understandable. Countless people do it all of the time. But we encourage you to not give into this temporary weakness. Find something else to do. Go for a walk, take a bike ride, call a friend or just find an alternate activity. Reevaluate what you were thinking of buying at a later time when you are more rationale and are less emotional. Saving by no mean is meant to make you feel deprived. But if you are interested in becoming more financially secure, you want to stay rather focused and be aware of your easiest ways to save money. Shopping Malls It’s not a good idea to go to the shopping mall for entertainment. As you know, there are no ways to save money at the mall. Malls are merchandising havens and the place where retailers want to lure the customer in. Most everything is geared toward getting the potential customer to buy something! Capitalism...It's the great American way. If you want to realize the benefits of saving money, this is not the place to do it. There are many other things that you can do for entertainment that don’t include spending a lot of money. You could go to a free sporting event, the art or science museum, to the park, to a friend’s home or just hanging out with some friends at your home. Use practical money saving tips to find alternatives to the shopping center attraction. The Law Don’t go over the speed limit or break any laws. Getting into trouble with the law not only eats up a lot of your time, it will cost you way more then an outing at the shopping center. It’s best to just abide by the law and fly under the radar so that you avoid any kind of trouble. Driving Route Do you like to make routine stops at a particular “road stop” place when you're traveling to and from work? If you do make stops frequently to pick up incidentals, then it’s time to consider another route. You can save by avoiding picking up unnecessary items along the way. People are creatures of habit. Once you have established a new route, you won't need to make that usual stop. Hopefully you will agree that it was one of the easiest ways to save money. Rebates Rebates are available on a number of products. If you buy a product with a rebate, you should take advantage of it. Most manufactures that offer rebates do so with an understanding that most consumers don’t take advantage of the rebates as ways to save money and forget to send them in. As a matter of fact, manufacturers are counting on customers not sending the forms in. Once you get a rebate, put all necessary paperwork in the mail that day. Then mark on your calendar when you are supposed to get the rebate check. If you don’t have it by the time on your calendar, call the vendor and ask them where it is. One piece of advice is to be careful not to throw the rebate in the wastebasket when you get it. The checks often look like junk mail and are very easy to throw in the trash as you go through your mail. Casseroles There are a number of good recipes available for casseroles that most families really enjoy. They make for tasty meals and fill you up as well. Casseroles make for some great comfort food similar to the way Crockpots do. Both are relatively simple and provide for hearty and delicious meals. When you have casserole night, go ahead and triple the batch and freeze two of the batches. They’re easy to pull out the night before and let thaw in the refrigerator. The next day they’re ready to heat and eat. No muss, no fuss and one of the frugal living tips that allows you to be economical. If you're not the cook, share this idea with someone that is. Nothing like good eats and finding practical ways to save money!
