• Use rechargeable batteries. You will help the earth and save money in the long run when you use this form of battery.

• Cellular phones are accepted by many charities or recycling centers.

• Use the simplest and least chemically laden detergents and personal cleaning products available.

• Avoid fast food restaurants. They're well known for creating a lot of waste with their excessive packaging.

• Donate toys to charities if your kids are tired or have grown out of them.
